Playing with cardboard boxes is a simple and fun game for children. It is also perfect for developing their imagination and creativity. Hide and seek, rocket, house, car, castle, dinette, television, boat... the possibilities are endless (especially if mom or dad are handyman). And as a bonus when the interest in the game wears off, you can simply put it in the recycling bin instead of letting it sit in a corner of the house.

Our kids are no exception. And when we received our Lillydoo diaper order, my son couldn't wait to use the cardboard box to hide in it. He had fun with his brother all afternoon.
This isn't the first time we've recycled our boxes into ephemeral toys. This time no effort on our part, just a bit of tinkering to make the box last at least for the weekend! But we had also tried making a house and cars - we needed an alternative to our laundry basket which didn't survive!
