Manual activities: my funny animals with toilet paper rolls

Writer: HubifoxHubifox

And yes, this is a classic: recycling toilet paper rolls into fun manual activities for our children. You can do so many things with it: houses, rockets, cars, flowers and many more. Last weekend, we tested the animals with my 3 and a half year old son.

We ended up not doing too badly I must say (even if the dog had his second ear stolen by my other 1 year old son...)

My favorite is clearly the little penguin but all the credit goes to my sister in law!

Here is what you will need in materials:

- Colored paper (preferably A5)

- Plastic eyes (or else you can draw them)

- Feathers and stickers are optional.

- Glue and scissors (obviously)

Here the principle :

1 - Cut out the colored paper the same length as the toilet paper roll. You can draw a line and leave the cutting to your child (under your supervision of course and if he is already used to cutting).

2 - Wrap the roll of toilet paper with the colored paper on which you will have previously put some glue. Same, your child can take care of it. (the idea being that you do it together)

3 - For the rest leave room to your imagination!

Our next challenge is the turtle... to be continued! Our goal is to compete with my niece who has a surprising collection that you can enjoy below:
